This is the story of the supporter’s outpost for the world cup championship

With the 2014 World Cup knocking at the door, came a great opportunity for the whole world to celebrate together.

So we decided to reach out to the most remote corner of Portugal: the island of Corvo. A Portuguese island situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and sheltering only 398 inhabitants. Although Corvo is very far away from the center of the country, it is actually Portugal’s closest point to Brazil, the country hosting the 2014 World Cup.

With the names of all of the 398 inhabitants, we produced personalized Coca-Cola cans and invited a local football legend, Pauleta, to join us on our trip to Corvo. He personally delivered each can to the locals and organized a very special football match: the first (non-official one) of the world cup on the island.
